Founded in 1984 in Arlington, Virginia by Mike Somavilla, Crest of the Wave Productions relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1987 to expand its operations. Since its inception, Crest of the Wave Productions has provided hands-on, personalized support to a myriad of musicians and music industry professionals.

The range of services provided include: signing record deals, creative marketing, public relations, contract negotiations, consultation, fan club development and mail order, newsletter publishing, talent coordination, promotions and business liaison.

(A) Put together a unreleased project for Randy California. [Spirit]

(B) Corrected errors and omissions in the Bio and Press Release for the Redwood Records
release of "Watchfire" by Pete Sears in 1988. Also found and corrected errors and
omissions in the Bio for the 33rd Street Records release of "The Long Haul" by Pete,
released December 2000. Introduced Pete to Merrell Fankhauser which led to TV
appearances, record deals and recording sessions.

(C) Responsible for the Frumious Bandersnatch (Infamous Eat Bay band from the 60's)
reuniting for the tribute to Chet Helms at the Maritime Hall in 1994 and booked Terry
Dolan, Harvey Mandel, Peter Kaukonen, Greg Elmore and others for the evening.
Also reccommended the venue to Chet.

(D) Have written Bio's and Press for several bands. In addition, Co writing liner notes
for a few CDs and I wrote the program notes for both The John Cipollina Tribute
Concert in 1989 and for the Chet Helms Tribute-Benefit Concert in 1994 .

(E) Consultant, also provided video, audio, photos and other archives for: John Cipollina
"Electric Guitar Slinger" video documentary. And provided photos for the Rhino
Records release of Quicksilver Messenger Service "Sons Of Mercury" compilation.

(F) Secured synchronization for two songs by Psycho Betty in a episode of CBS' Nash
Bridges, one song for Greg Douglass & Mistress in the video "Pure Force" Masters of
Stone 4, one song for Buddy Owen in "Beyond The Barriers" No Limits . Also one
song each for Harvey Mandel and Buddy Owen in the video "Masters of Stone" Five.

(G) Provided archives for: VH1 Behind The Music Jefferson Airplane; The Life & Times
Of The Red Dog Saloon and Hot Tuna Live at the Sweetwater - 25 Years and Runnin'.

(H) Provided Talent Coordination and Bookings for well over 1000 Artists ~ Bands on
local cable and local network music television programs since 1989.

(I) Stage Manager for 26 musicians at the Berkeley Renaissance reunion concert 1993,
which was Produced by Country Joe McDonald.

(J) Have put together and helped with bookings for numerous shows ~ gigs.

(K) Secured live on the air radio broadcasts, regular airplay and on air interviews
and have been responsible for numerous releases being reviewed in the press.

(L) Brought in Scott Mathews (Durocs) to produce, shape, form and do sessions for
the Michael Quinn CD (which featured members of The Neville Brothers).

(M) Brought Jerry Miller (Moby Grape) in to do a session for the David Denny (Steve Miller) CD "Louisiana Melody".

(N) Found an investor to put up $2,500.00 dollars for Leigh Stephens (Blue Cheer) to go
in the studio and record the CD "Chronic with A K."

(O) Because of the 4 Blues Compilations I produced, four of the artists who took part
were inspired enough to go in to the studio and record and release a full CD.

(P) Coordinated the appearance of Big Brother & The Holding Company at the "Rockin'
Out" concert on June 3, 1999. Presented by the Junior League Of San Francisco, and
produced by the Rockers' Educational Arts Project. (R.E.A.P.) Committee.

(Q) Put together and booked a special evening of music on a local, cable music
television show to help promote and raise awareness for the October 5th 2002, "Bark
In The Park" concert in Dolores Park in San Francisco. Also booked the Jeff Jolly
Band to play at the concert. Sponsored by Rocket Dog Rescue. (They save dog's lives
from being euthanized and finds homes for them).

(R) Booked music, found sponsors and vendors to be part of the events surrounding the
35th Anniversary Of The Summer Of Love in San Francisco. In addition promoted
a special event evening of music with members of Big Brother & The Holding
Company and the Sopwith Camel on a cable music show to help promote the main
event on October 20, 2002; Also booked the Jeff Jolly Band and Country Weather at
some other concerts and events supporting the Summer Of Love celebrations as well.

(S) Initiated and helped to organize the benefit concert for Spencer Dryden along with
Pete Sears, Kathy Peck and Steve Keyser on May 22, 2002 at Slims night club in San
Francisco. Brought in key people to make this a successful event, booked musicians,
and worked to raise over $35,000.00 dollars through ticket sales, auctions and raffles.
As well as providing oher invaluable advice and assistance.

(T) Auction Coordinator for the tribute memorial auction on ebay for Chet Helms (Chet
Fest). In conjuction with the concert on July 29, 2005. (Set up and garnered donations
of items or sevices for the auction). We collectively took in over $19,000 dollars just
from the auction.

(U) Put together and organized along with Austin DeLone, a benefit-memorial concert on
September 22, 2005 at the Sweetwater Saloon in Mill Valley California for bassist
Doug Killmer and his family, raising over $4,000 in ticket sales alone, not counting
private donations given to the family.

(V) Family Dog Committee member - Organized and booked bands, musicians and
Master Of Ceromonies for "A Chet Helm Tribal Stomp" on Sunday October 30, 2005
at Speedway Meadows in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California. Also booked
two evenings of the Bruce Latimer show expressly geared to promote "The Stomp".

(W) Helped to organize the benefit concert for Peter Walsh at the Sweetwater in Mill
Valley, CA. on February 25th 2007 raising over $6,500 dollars. Secured a donated
guitar which was signed by all the musicians playing that night and was auctioned off.

(X) Committee member, booked bands and put together a special group to play at the 40th
Anniversary Summer Of Love concert on September 2nd, 2007 at Speedway
Meadows in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California. In addtion I coordinated
radio and television appearences for artists and the concert promter in an effort to
publicize and promote the event.

(Y) Worked with the San Francisco and Palo Alto Department of Veteran Affairs to book
most of the live music for their "Welcome Event 2008" for the returning veterans
who served in Iraq and Afghanistan to help them transition back to civilian life. This
special homecoming took place on Saturday May 10th 2008. Donating their time for
the afternoon to play were Scott Vicknair AKA Poor Bailey, Dream Possee with Jack
King (of Frumious Bandersnatch and Steve Miller Band fame) And the Jeff Jolly
Band.

(Z) Contributed photos and other archives to New York's "Relix" magazine; Bay Area
music fanzine "Cream Puff War"; Byrds fanzine "Farther Along" from Canada; The
Jefferson Airplane/Bay area music fanzine "Holding Together" from the UK; and I
interviewed George Whitsell (alumni of The Rockets and Crazy Horse and Neil
Young's sideman) for the Neil Young fan magazine "Broken Arrow"

(AA) Guest speaker at the California Recording Institute 10th Annual Engineer/Producer,
Music Business & Audio for the Internet Conference in San Francisco on August 7,
1999. Other featured speakers included Fred Catero, Bob Skye, Robert Margouleff
and other professional engineers, producers and music busines experts sharing their
knowledge and experiences.

(BB) Contributed writings, liner notes, photos and other memorabilia to several websites CDs and books.

(CC) Instrumental in coordinating interviews for several musicians and contributed
numerous vintage photos for the book "Take Me To A Circus Tent - The Jefferson
Airplane Flight Manual" by Craig Fenton

(DD) Right Hand Man, Equipment Manager, Roadie and Chauffeur, and I have over 50
other recorded projects that I am trying to secure deals for.
